Over the past 5 years we have found the best methods for our tiny puppies. Its critical to understand the development of the toy breeds.

At Designer Cavapoo Puppies, we take puppy development seriously. We utilize the extensive methodologies from Puppy Culture,  Empowered Breeder and Baxter and Bella, enhancing them with additional socialization and training above and beyond standard breeding programs.

Puppies enrichment starts on day 3 with Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), which occurs from days 3 to 16 of a puppy’s life. This critical period is marked by rapid neurological growth, and ENS has been proven to make puppies healthier, more confident, and adaptable to new environments. Each puppy undergoes five specific exercises daily during this time.

In addition to ENS, we implement a variety of enriching activities, including:

• 10-step handling exercises
• Early Scent Introduction
• Individual car rides and field trips
• Outdoor playtime
• We have four unique puppy areas designed for each stage of development
• Exposure to diverse textures (like ice, bubble wrap, water and crinkly paper just to name a few)
• Sound exposure from household noises like vacuums, door bells, the car wash and TV are a few common examples. We look for any opportunity to take our puppies into the world after 6 weeks of age.
• We utilize sound tracks and TV to supplement sounds you don’t hear everyday.
